- Dustin Kensrue is most famously the lead singer and guitarist for the Southern California post-hardcore band Thrice.
- His solo project was originally called Ursus Veritas, a Latin pun on the phrase "bare/bear truth."
- Kensrue's lyrics often visit biblical and spiritual themes, influenced by the writings of Christian author C.S. Lewis ('The Chronicles of Narnia').
