- Queens, New York-born singer-songwriter Jesse Malin was, at age 12, the frontman of '80s hardcore band Heart Attack, and in the '90s he was a member the glam-punk band D Generation.
- Often compared to fellow punk turned singer-songwriter Paul Westerberg, he covers the Replacements' 'Bastards of Young.'
- On the new album, he sings a duet with Bruce Springsteen, whom he met at the 'Light of Day' benefit concert, on the song 'Broken Radio.'
