Phoenix

  1. Electro-rock quartet Phoenix -- Thomas Mars, Laurent Brancowitz, Deck D'Arcy and Christian Mazzalai -- formed in the Parisian suburb of Versailles in the late '90s.
  2. The group first started out as a bar band performing covers of Prince and Hank Williams.
  3. Their song 'Too Young' has appeared in the Farrelly brothers' film 'Shallow Hal' as well as in the film 'Lost in Translation,' directed by Mars' life partner, Sofia Coppola.
