- Electro-rock quartet Phoenix -- Thomas Mars, Laurent Brancowitz, Deck D'Arcy and Christian Mazzalai -- formed in the Parisian suburb of Versailles in the late '90s.
- The group first started out as a bar band performing covers of Prince and Hank Williams.
- Their song 'Too Young' has appeared in the Farrelly brothers' film 'Shallow Hal' as well as in the film 'Lost in Translation,' directed by Mars' life partner, Sofia Coppola.
