- Before embracing Hispano-classical influences, the guitar duo cut their teeth in the Mexico City metal band Tierra Acida ("Acid Earth") as teenagers.
- The pair relocated to Ireland for a while, making a living as street buskers, where they were discovered by Damien Rice.
- Their self-titled third album debuted at Number One on the Irish charts in the spring of 2006, beating out Johnny Cash for the top spot.
