Before embracing Hispano-classical influences, the guitar duo cut their teeth in the Mexico City metal band Tierra Acida ("Acid Earth") as teenagers.
The pair relocated to Ireland for a while, making a living as street buskers, where they were discovered by Damien Rice.
Their self-titled third album debuted at Number One on the Irish charts in the spring of 2006, beating out Johnny Cash for the top spot.

What's your favorite metal record?
'Master of Puppets.' The vibe was there when Metallica recorded this album. I think every metalhead will agree.
How did you like living in Ireland?
Ireland is great. It is a very musical country and there are loads of talented people there.
Why did you decide to return to Mexico?
Because I bought a house on the beach and I missed the warm weather and the food.
