- Identical twins Tegan and Sara Quin were born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, but they currently live on opposite coasts of Canada.
- The singer-songwriter duo are both out as lesbians and have appeared on an episode of the Showtime series 'The L Word,' where they performed 'Love Type Thing.'
- The White Stripes have recorded a version of Tegan and Sara's 'Walking With a Ghost,' which was released as the title track of a 2005 EP.
