- The Knife, composed of the Swedish brother-and-sister duo of Olof and Karin Dreijer, started dressing up in order to maintain a separate identity from their music.
- When creating music videos, the Knife like to work with visual artists rather then traditional video directors to devise a concept.
- In 1999, the pair got their start when they began playing around on the computer; they had no intention of becoming a band.
