- Chicago's Wax on Radio -- singer-guitarist Mikey Russell, guitarist Bob Buckstaff, bass player Dustin Chabert and drummer Sammy Del Real -- first came together in 2004.
- Their 2006 debut album, 'Exposition,' has drawn comparisons to the Mars Volta as well as to '70s prog-rock groups like Pink Floyd and King Crimson.
- The band began a two-month-long U.S. tour with Indiana pop-punkers the Ataris in February.
