Chicago's Wax on Radio -- singer-guitarist Mikey Russell, guitarist Bob Buckstaff, bass player Dustin Chabert and drummer Sammy Del Real -- first came together in 2004.
Their 2006 debut album, 'Exposition,' has drawn comparisons to the Mars Volta as well as to '70s prog-rock groups like Pink Floyd and King Crimson.
The band began a two-month-long U.S. tour with Indiana pop-punkers the Ataris in February.

Is Chicago-style pizza better than New York's?
In California they have signs on restauraunts that say "Pizza Flown In From Chicago." I've never seen that about New York pizza.
Having toured with the Ataris, which do you prefer -- them or the video game system?
I'd say the band -- the system is too antiquated to even have novelty coolness.
How do you describe your sound in one word?
Music

It's a lazy comparison for sure, but there is definitely an element of The Mars Volta in what Wax on Radio do. -- No One Here Is Asking
