Wax on Radio

  1. Chicago's Wax on Radio -- singer-guitarist Mikey Russell, guitarist Bob Buckstaff, bass player Dustin Chabert and drummer Sammy Del Real -- first came together in 2004.
  2. Their 2006 debut album, 'Exposition,' has drawn comparisons to the Mars Volta as well as to '70s prog-rock groups like Pink Floyd and King Crimson.
  3. The band began a two-month-long U.S. tour with Indiana pop-punkers the Ataris in February.

Watch three live music videos Chicago's Wax on Radio. The four-piece's unabashed '70s progressive-rock tendencies presents everything but a giant inflated pig to a hometown crowd. Wax on Radio performs 'Dawn Architects,' 'The Devil' and 'Today I Became a Realist'.' 3x3 is a tri-monthly Spinner.com feature with interview questions, artist facts and three live songs from bands that matter.
