Five Things About Spoon
1. Spoon
was formed in Austin in 1994 by drummer Jim Eno and vocalist/songwriter/guitarist
Britt Daniel.
2. The band got its name from the German band Can,
who were on Spoon Records.
3. Britt Daniel used an iPod
as his backing band for this performance.
4. 'The
Agony of Laffitte' EP was named after A&R man Ron Laffitte, who signed (and then dropped) the band from Elektra.
5. Britt Daniel appeared in a 2005 episode of 'Veronica
Mars' doing a karaoke version of Elvis
Costello's 'Veronica.'
