Five Things About BRMC
1. The California-based goth-folk trio formed when bassist Robert Levon Been and guitarist Peter Hayes met in high school and later added English transplant Nick Jago.
2. Originally called "The Elements," BMRC renamed themselves after Marlon Brando's motorcycle gang in the 1953 film 'The Wild One.'
3. BRMC's third album, 'Howl,' is a nod to beat poet Allen Ginsberg's most popular work.
4. Noel Gallagher wanted to sign BRMC his Big Brother Records imprint in the late 1990s.
5. Their song 'Ain't No Easy Way' was featured in a 2005 episode of 'My Name Is Earl.'

On the Blogs
What are bloggers saying about BRMC?
- "California's vampiric rockers return to painting it black with a gloomy and amazingly pessimistic new album."
- "The album, Baby 81, is a driving rock'n'roll record which manages to deliver the chunky bass driven rock of their early work while maintaining Howl's folky core. "
- "With Baby 81, BRMC have given birth to one of the great rock ?n? roll albums of the year."
- "BRMC has a way of making their guitars really "dirty," so to speak, and I really heart the way the music seems to be drawn out in most instances to match the vocals."
