1. Frontman Alexis Taylor and singer/drummer Joe Goddard met while studying at the Elliot School in London.
2. Hot Chip was awarded the Best Single of 2006 for 'Over and Over' -- off 2006's 'The Warning' -- by the British music magazine NME.
3. Taylor has made known his love for folk music and performed an acoustic set at the Homefries Festival in 2005.
4. Hot Chip's influences include Peter Gabriel and Fleetwood Mac, both of whom they've covered on tour.
5. All five members of Hot Chip are DJs and have performed live for the BBC Radio One's 'The Essential Mix' radio program.
