Five Things About Mojave 3
1. Formed in 1995 out of the remnants of the seminal shoegazer band Slowdive.
2. Even though you wouldn't expect it from a Brit, Neil is a complete surfing fanatic and has been doing it for well over 10 years.
3. 'Blue Bird of Happiness' was featured on, of all things, a Hummer TV commercial.
4. Their original name was Mojave, but they later added the "3" (they were a trio at the time) because another band had already snagged the moniker.
5. The song 'Driving With Bert' was inspired by Bert Jansch, who "was the soundtrack to Neil's life for a little while."
