Nicole Atkins and the Sea
1. Nicole Atkins went to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte to study illustration and art.
2. Keyboardist Dan Chen and guitarist David Hollinghurst both met Atkins when she was performing at the Sidewalk Cafe in New York City's East Village.
3. Atkins cites director David Lynch's surrealist films as a major inspiration.
4. Nicole Atkins and the Sea's tune 'Party's Over' was featured in an American Express commercial in mid-2007.
5.Atkins performed as part of the Feist's chorus for a performance on 'The Late Show with David Letterman,' which also included members of Broken Social Scene, the National, Grizzly Bear and Mates of State.
