Five Things About The Black Angels
1. Took their name from the Velvet Underground's 'The Black Angel's Death Song'
2. Formed a mere 2 years ago in Austin, TX.
3. Once acted as the backing band for the Brian Jonestown Massacre's Anton Newcombe
4. Several members of the Black Angels are multi-instrumentalists which allows them to swap instruments throughout their live sets.
5. Lead singer Alex Maas sometimes sports an Electric Sitar , which has been described by some as 'the defining sound of the '60's.'
